SERVPRO of South Mecklenburg County takes pride in our ability to serve our customers. To do this in the best way possible, we have state of the art equipment to get your property back to preloss conditions. Each machine is crucial to our restoration process.
Our technicians are highly trained to use all of our equipment in the most efficient way. Here is one of our most commonly used machines and their purpose.
Dehumidifiers: Dehumidifiers remove moisture from the air after it has evaporated. Our techs know how to position dehumidifiers strategically in water-damaged structures so that the moist, humid air moves through the air while dry warm air is discharged to circulate back into the wet areas. This is very effective because dry air acts as a sponge to absorb moisture. By using dehumidifiers there is a continuous source of dry air to enhance the restoration process. All of our dehumidifiers are refrigerant dehumidifiers that work by removing water vapor through condensation. Using a small commercial refrigerant dehumidifier we can remove eight gallons of water per day from the atmosphere, while an extra-large one can remove up to 20 gallons per day. Most residential dehumidifiers remove between one and two gallons per day, often significantly less than they claim to remove.
While there are many other machines and equipment accessories we use at SERVPRO of South Mecklenburg County, this is a great overall look at our most commonly used pieces of equipment. This machine helps us make it “Like it never even happened,” because we are always here to help!
