SERVPRO of South Mecklenburg County takes pride in our ability to serve our customers. To do this in the best way possible, we have state-of-the-art equipment to get your property back to preloss conditions. Each job is unique, and having the proper tools is crucial to the restoration process.
Our technicians are highly trained to use all of our equipment in the most efficient way based on your needs. Keep reading to learn about one of our most commonly used machines, and how we use it.
Portable Water Extractors: We use our portable water extractors for cleaning carpets and upholstery and for general water removal. Extractors have three major parts: a heater, pump, and vacuum. Our techs use this for variable heat-controlled cleaning, including heat rinse solutions to clean more effectively. The extractor can be used two ways, to clean or to remove water. When it is being used for cleaning the heating element heats the clean water and sprays it onto the carpet or upholstery, and then the vacuum sucks the water back up into the tank of dirty water. For water removal purposes, the extractor does not spray water out, and instead, the vacuum system removes soils and moisture from surfaces and collects it in a tank. These extractors help expedite the removal of water and moisture from damaged materials. By removing water with this machine the necessity to replace belongings is lowered. Not only is water removed quickly, dirt and other contaminants are extracted as well, reducing the chance of staining.
While there are many other machines and equipment accessories we use at SERVPRO of South Mecklenburg Coun, this is a great overall look at one of our most commonly used pieces of equipment. This machine helps us make it "Like it never even happened,"® because we are always Here to help®!
